According to Bloomberg, the Bank of Israel adopted Ethereum technology for an internal pilot run of the digital shekel.
The central bank spokesman was not immediately available for a comment on Bloomberg.
Ethereum could thus be used for further pilot programs and test. ETH reached $2,000 shortly after the news broke!
